FUTURE OF INTERNET WE ALL ASPIRE FOR

New update on technolgy

As new ideas and innovations are popping up almost daily, we are currently moving forward to greater advancements in the field of networking or more simply we can say the era of web 3.0 and Internet of Things(IoT).

Now what is web 3.0?
the term Web 3.0 was first coined by John Mark off of New York Times in 2006,referring it as a supposed third generation of Internet based services that could make the web more intelligent with use of semantics and artificial intelligence.

Now this web will be self sufficient to understand what information you want to see and in which manner, which is supposed to save a lot of time and make your life better. If to predict, web 3.0 may have four components that are semantics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and ever-present.

we already are very much familiar with all four of them , as search engines are working hard to make them more semantic, robotics and military has been dealing with artificial intelligence since ages and virtual reality is what is dwelling upon us all and the usage of phones, tablets etc. tells us about the ever present nature of internet.

The problem is not everyone agrees if they are in the era of web 3.0 or they are still working to be more advanced to actually be in the era of web 3.0, this,we'll leave for the readers to think upon.

Internet of Things and what's stopping us.
As we are currently progressing for web 3.0,we are also shifting to what we can say,the era of Internet of things.

Now this is the era we all need to be on a lookout for, doesn't really matter if you are interested in all its technical aspects or not but you sure need to enjoy what all it has to provide to us.

latest update of internetDevices present in that era will be able to communicate with each other,if they'll be smart enough to that. This machine to machine communication will save us a lot of trouble by eliminating the need to provide commands to the devices we are currently using as they'll be able to understand our needs as all connected devices will perform accordingly.

There are already an abundance of smart devices, as well as automated, internet-connected systems that run without human input, such as automated building climate control.
The smartest people are coming out with ideas and innovations daily but we lack is technology ,and not only that, everything that needs to work upon are

Access to free internet: Now that all devices are connected and maintain conversation with each other through internet there arises a need for free internet and this issue will become more and more important as more devices become networked.

Internet as a human right: We need to treat internet access as a human right and make sure that everyone, no matter where they live or what their financial situations are, can learn and teach themselves using internet.

Net neutrality: Internet needs to be one free, unified  and neutral network.

Monetization of content:  content needs to be monetized in every way from using banner ads for pay-per-click to actually charging users to view content but many organizations now struggle to monetize content without negatively impacting user’s experience.

HOLOGRAPHS TAKING OVER!

For all those who are wondering what Microsoft Hololens is,wikipedia says it's the premier device for windows holographic. It is a smart glass headset that is cordless, self contained Windows 10 computer. It uses advaced sensors,a high definition stereoscopic 3D optical head mounted display, and spatial sound to allow for augmented reality applications, with a natural user interface that the user interacts with through gaze, voice and head gestures.

Sounds futuristic and stuff from Mission Impossible, eh?

Now,lets assume you are considering buying a new car,you go to the desired showroom, you pick up the car you want and now you want a test drive, pretty much normal?

But what if i tell you, you don't even have to turn the engine on to take a test drive?
Am i out of my mind?

NO.YOU KNOWS HOW?

Microsoft Hololens has recently announced they'll be working with Volvo Cars to provide a virtual, Real like, Better experience to consumers by developing a new Holographic technology, for as far as automobiles are concerned.

This new technology wll help potential buyers to view safety features,  car customizations, and even take part in virtual test drives without leaving the showroom.

Volvo is the first automobile company to express interest in Microsoft Holographic technology so as to provide their customers with an at-par experience. They are currently exploring potential of hololens to change how the consumer may discover or even buy cars in future.

Hololens will be effecient to provide description of systems consumers don't generally see, for example safety measures of a car can't be checked on a test drive but they sure are important and needed to be checked, so here comes the use of hololens to verify the safety measures of car without risking life of driver and passengers, by taking a test drive in a virtual world.

This will allow consumers to configure the vehicle and to see what actually they are buying. Other than that it will also help in educating their staff easily and letting consumer to know about potential problems.

This move will also enhance Volvo's image in the market of luxury market.
However this won't be a game changer as it's use will be restricted to those who have a hololens and want to buy a car. The former numbers may be nice but it'll eventually fade out.

10 THINGS MARSHMALLOW MADE US ALL CURIOUS ABOUT

Android Marshmallow(or android 6.0) is in the business but the wait is still on for people who don't own a Nexus 5,Nexus 6,Nexus 9,Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P
So, what we all need to know is, Android Marshmallow worth getting excited about or not?
It took almost forever for Google to release a new android update after lollipop, so how is it different? Is it competitive enough for iOS 9 and Windows 10?
Well we’ll leave that to you for the time being.
1. App Menu
The new app menu is the change that everybody's going to observe first. And, it is totally different to what its android ancestor had.
Instead of flickering through numeral app pages, now there'll be a single list for you to swiftly scroll vertically. Now this may be quite useful if you have many apps installed on your phone by making it a little easier to reach to the app you are looking to access.
Sadly, no provision for app folders in this Google update too.
2. App Search bar and Favorites
Didn't like the menu?
Not a problem, Google provided with a search bar to look for apps in your app list, it also provides with an option to look for the app with the name you are searching for, on play store.
We generally use a number of apps and sometimes it gets really difficult if you don't remember the names of apps/games you've uninstalled, now for that this will get you on the right track, this is the update for you.
Also there are four slots at the top of apps menu that picks up the apps that you use the most or the apps you've used more recently.

3. Clock
The stylier interface of lollipop became a great success among android users so marshmallow took a bigger leap in this game.
This update has more to do with the font of date and time.
The font of time has gone bold and data text has gone all capitals.
4. Memory Manager added
One thing android users didn't like about android lollipop was its huge consumption of memory leading to all sorts of performance issues. Now that a memory manager has been added in marshmallow, user can check out details of memory usage and there'll be no need of installing a third party app for this as menu have a new 'Memory' area in settings menu.
Before you gets too excited, it's more like a read-only file. Sure, it provides you with details of memory usage over last 3,6,12 or 24 hours but if any app is misbehaving there is nothing more you can do other than uninstalling that app.
5. A Lock Screen Message can be added
This little new feature allows you to add a line of text at your lock screen, like a 'To-Be-Remembered' on your lock screen.
This extra line is written in lower case with opacity just under 100%.
6. Optimization of battery on app by app basis
This feature provides you with details of how apps are using energy when being active in back-door, to save battery life.
Google didn't cleared out what optimization is actually for, but you can bet it is more about regulating  ho freely app can use mobile data and perform background processes.
7. Fingerprint scanners supported as standard
Now you must be thinking that fingerprint scanners have been around for many years, so, what's new about this?
What’s new is that it's with marshmallow that the system supports the hardware natively as before software needed to be jammed in by the manufacturer.
Both nexus 5X and 6P comes with rear fingerprint scanners which lets you unlock, identify for apps and sign off on Pay wireless payments.
8. Instant Google now
Making the digital assistant more assitive, in marshmallow you can talk to assistant on home screen just by saying 'OK Google'. Now if you don't feel like talking, this neatest update lets you call assistant everywhere ,a long press on the home button makes Google to scan whatever's on they screen and provide you with it's online information.
9. Securely manage app permissions
In previous androids app permissions were provided to the app at the time of install,at the time it asks you to grant specific permissions to install the app.
Now with marshmallow this has changed, apps will now have to ask for permissions at the time of using it,making it more secure and providing you with details of what actually it is doing in background.
There is a dedicated sections also in settings menu which shows which apps have access to which permissions which can be managed at a press.
10. Doze
The rate of consumption of battery have been a problematic issue among android users, for this marshmallow introduced a new feature that saves power by recognizing when the phone is in state of rest.
According to google they have tested it with Nexus 9 and it helped increase the battery life by a multiplying factor of 2 in standby mode by using fewer background services. No,you don't need to worry about missing alarms and instant messages as doze will not lock them down in rested mode of phone.
